Our 50th Bromeliad Show: How it works
Program Presenter: Linda Whipkey
Linda Whipkey is currently serving on the bromeliad society’s board. She has been secretary, and vice president in the past. She started participating in bromeliad shows about 15 years ago and has won numerous awards. Linda knows a lot about bromeliad shows and how they are structured because she has worked on various committees. Her favorite competition at the show is the decorative container artistic. At the 2023 show, she won the highest honor in the artistic category.
Presentation: We will look at the objectives of the society, the structure of a standard bromeliad show and the functions of volunteers. In addition, a review of documentation, preparation of plants and criteria for entering the show will be covered.

Third Tuesday, February 20th, 2024 at 7:00pm (ZOOM login/social time at 6:30 p.m.)
Meeting Place: Metropolitan Multi-Service Center., 1475 West Gray St., Houston, TX 77019 and on zoom.

- IT’S RAFFLE TIME! Bring a plant for the raffle and or come and gets some raffle plants – this is a great way to grow your collection
- Bring a plant for show & tell
- Just come and hang out and share with us your love of Bromeliads!
