Program Presenter: Our very own, John Schmidt
My first experience with bromeliads was a sample pack from Tropiflora. The plants were kept indoors and did not survive for long. Some time later, I met Jack Wilson on a pond tour in Wichita, Ks. We became friends and he gifted me several neo. hybrids. That’s when the spark became a flame. Fast forward to 2007 when Gale and I moved to Spring. I joined the BSH in 2011. My interest once again focused on Tillandsias and I probably have 150 or more species and cultivars in my collection. I am on my second stint as a board member and have done Show and Tell the for several years. All in all, the friends made in BSH are my greatest treasure.
