October’s meeting is an important one for our society. This is the month we vote on officers for 2025. We need everyone in attendance for the October meeting tomorrow either in person or on zoom to legitimize the vote for officers. Please make time to attend tomorrow evening.
Unfortunately we also have a last minute change in program for the October meeting tomorrow. Dennis Cathcart, founder of Tropiflora and one of our favorite speakers, is unable to make it this month now due to an injury suffered during cleanup from hurricane Milton. If you haven’t heard, Tropiflora took a lot of damage with a direct hit from the hurricane.
Dennis will now be coming in November to present his program on Bromeliad Hunting Adventures. This will still be a joint meeting with the Houston Cactus and Succulent Society so we should have a great turnout for him. More info on this meeting will come out soon.
We are still working on a replacement program for October and will provide more info as it becomes available as well.
